Do local church leaders encourage innovation?

Attender views about leaders encouraging innovation and creative thinking

In the National Church Life Survey conducted during 2021 and 2022, church attenders were asked whether they agreed that “Leaders here encourage innovation and creative thinking”. 

Around 64% of church attenders agree that leaders at their local church encourage this type of creativity.

 

 

Age differences: Attenders aged 15 to 29 years are most likely to agree that their leaders encourage innovation and creative thinking with 27% who strongly agreed and 42% who agreed. In contrast only 14% of those aged 70 plus strongly agreed.  

Leadership roles: Those with leadership roles were more likely to agree than those without leadership roles.
