Run a Student Spiritual Life Survey

How to administer the SSLS in your school

So you're running the Student Spiritual Life Survey in your school? Here's everything you need to know to run the SSLS well at your school.

The Student Spiritual Life Survey is designed for students in Years 7 to 12.

To complete the survey, students will need a smart device to access the online survey, along with either:

your unique Survey Link
OR
your unique Survey Code to enter at myschool.org.au/survey

(your unique Survey Link and Survey Code are found on page 1 of your Guide and Instructions)

Information for Survey Coordinators

Each school will nominate a Survey Coordinator to oversee the SLSS in their school community. If that's you, then welcome!

As Survey Coordinator, you will set the start and end dates for the survey period. We recommend a period of two weeks.

NCLS Research will provide a School Code to you as Coordinator (see page 1 of your Guide). Students need to enter this code to begin the online survey.

You will take responsibility for distributing the survey and supporting documents to appropriate groups.

Students will be asked to complete the survey in a classroom setting. It is optional and anonymous. It takes around 10 minutes and should be completed in one sitting.

You will need:

  • Guide for Survey Coordinator
  • Instructions for Teachers
  • Information Sheet for Parents and Carers
  • Information Sheet for Student Participants
  • FAQs regarding the research project and ethical considerations
